A new project came in the studio that we will start in a few months so stay tuned. Currently someone has surrounded them with dimensional pine to provide a solid structure and they are held in place with silicone (I hate silicone) and small nails. Our undertaking will be to remove and restore these beautiful turn of the century windows, build new hardwood doors for them and create novel interior sliding doors.
It was explained to us that these windows came from an old building in Chicago that was constructed at the end of the 1800's. Their original place of glory was once in the front of a store which sold shoes back in the day.
These are some of the wonderful projects Suevel Studios is glad to be a part of, knowing that we along with the owner saved these long forgotten magnificent stained glass windows from ending up in a landfill someplace and will now be enjoyed for another 100 years.
