Eric brings over twenty years of stained glass experience to the store. Originally learning from his Uncle Ben as a kid and then from Gudrun Stachel, former owner of Merry-Go-Round Stained Glass Center, in the mid 80's. Eric has continued to expand his knowledge in glass through classes, self-study and just plain hands-on experience. In school, Eric received several art awards and recognized in local papers for his efforts. Eric has been a Firefighter/Paramedic for the past 28 years. He currently works for the Des Plaines Fire Department on his days off from the store.
As an ordained minister with a Masters in Divinity, Markay brings a liturgical perspective and understanding to the stained glass business. Markay took her first class in stained glass at Delta Stained Glass 16 years ago, and is a former student of Gudrun Stachel. Markay continues to update her knowledge with classes, reading and working at the store. She also comes from a large family of highly skilled artists.
